"Serengeti Tanzanite Experience" Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Arusha, Tanzania.
Breakfast at your hotel, your guide will pick you up for a quick briefing. Then you willhead out of town towards Tarangire National Park 1.5 hr drive. There will be a chance for you to stop at a super market for snacks and beverages. Once you enter the park you’ll have a nice game drive. You’ll make your way to the picnic site for lunch and a chance to view the lake. After lunch you’ll have another game drive. As the sun starts to set, you’ll make your way out of the park to your camp for dinner and a good night’s rest.
Day 2: Serengeti National Park
Breakfast at the lodge, make your way to the Maisha Arts Development Center (MADC) to learn about many different sustainable projects. Have lunch at MADC with some of the students and staff to learn more. After lunch fly to the endless plain,s of Serengeti. A
pick up will be arranged and you’ll make your way to a beautiful Serengeti,’Migration Camp for dinner and a good nights sleep.
Day 3: Serengeti National Park
Enjoy an early morning game drive. Make your way back to camp for a nice, fresh lunch. Relax during the heat of the day until the temperature starts to drop, then start your late afternoon game drive. After sunset, make your way back to camp for an extra special dinner.
Day 4: Serengeti National Park
Breakfast and make your way out of the Serengeti. Enjoy a picnic lunch and go on a little hike to stretch your legs and view the planes that make Serengeti so unique. After the hike, you’ll make your way to Ngorongoro Crater’s ledge and stay in a beautiful lodge for some great views and ‘good nights sleep.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Center
Enter the Ngorongoro Crater at sunrise to see the animals at their most active time. Have a picnic lunch near the hippo pond. After lunch slowly make your way out of the crater taking in all the beautiful views that the crater has to offer. In the later afternoon, you’ll make your way to a spectacular lodge for a relaxing evening.
Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park
Breakfast at the lodge and make your way into the Rift Valley. Once you make your way down the pass you’ll enter Lake Manyara National Park. Once you enter the park, you’ll slowly make your way to a picnic lunch. After lunch is an afternoon game drive. In the late afternoon, you’ll be on your way to Arusha for your last night’s stay at Arusha Coffee Lodge.
Day 7: Tanzanite Experience
Breakfast at the lodge and then you’ll make your way to Tanzanite One for the Tanzanite Experience learning about the gemstone and how it symbolizes so much of Tanzania.You will have the opportunity to purchase this beautiful gemstone. After your experience, you’ll enjoy a fresh lunch and head to the airport to fly home.
